What is 2012 going to bring us?
We've heard from many different sources that predicted 2012 to be a pivotal year. Whether for the good or the bad, this will depend on what we make of it. I hope the big issues like global financial crisis, climate change, and looming peak oil and peak everything wont suck up all humanity's attention and we will be able to keep focus on what makes life worth living on this marvellous planet.
Focus on activities and solutions that will benefit from a short and long term societal perspective will help the positive spin and a deep sense for whatever we choose to do and not do.
For us, 2012 will bring a lot of new things and we are looking forward with great excitement. Also, we are expecting to receive family and friends, besides realizing every opportunity to go kitesurfing and explore the beautiful country here in Western Australia.
Looking back over the past year, we feel very privileged having done a massive trip through the continent and being lucky to set foot rather easily in Perth, our new city of choice. As always it has been extremely busy, even with 7 months off job duties. The days are just to short to fit everything into, and making the necessary choices is not an easy task. Well, it will be family, then work first (unless the wind blows, which puts everything onto its head... and besides, we'll keep praying for those 30 hour days ;-)
