3 days living a dream at Uluru and Kata Tjuta

On Tuesday, ten days after Oceane injured herself with boiling water, we were heading South to make a 1500km loop over more sealed than unsealed roads. After having filled up the boot of our Prado with fresh food and goodies for the next week, we decided to visit the most popular site first: Uluru.

Our family dreamtime was really unexpected and started the night before we saw the sun rising its ocre onto the South-eastern face of the big rock! We experienced the moon eclipse that previous night while we broke our wild camp from the top of a dune in the middle of spinifex! The magic of the red Centre caught us again while we felt alone in this endless desert.
The Valley of the wind in Mt Olgas told us about the abundance of fauna and flora diversity with deep green gorges and steep rounded walls.
We celebrated three sunsets dining right in front of the red Western faces of both Uluru and Kata Tjuta! The colors of the rock and the sky changing at dusk are the must of the overall experience.

Hou-Lou-Lou ....is the girls' favorite shout when they see the massive 350m high rock in the horizon! We really enjoyed walking around its gorges and made a fest out of each meal shared inside the National Park! ...Just like ants around a 560million years red stone; a dreamtime lasting forever in our memories; a fraction of a second in the universe.
