Warm summertime is over, and days are getting short. We enjoyed our first three nights camping adventure over the Easter weekend. All chocolate eggs are already eaten. Laetitia & Oceane’s smiles are all what we’ve got left.

...8 months of age, that means crawling around, turning and sitting down by themselves.  Oceane is able to take off her dummy with one hand, cough, put it again in her mouth and focus back on playing. Laetitia has a preference for her left thumb. It’s her favorite habit in case of distress. She’s been strong on her legs since about the age of three months, and she loves to stand up once and again with mama’s help. She enjoys walking around and discovers every day our whole place. Standing on her feet makes her laugh even more. Oceane prefers by far doing the bridge. We believe she’s trying to imitate daddy’s downward facing dog from his morning yoga exercise.
Both babies now have more than two teeth shining. This makes their smiles different and their falls more dangerous, too, since they can hurt their lips.Both have been good babies, so far! They eat everything we serve them, latest after we bite into it ourselves. They know all the good fruit available here in OZ (Avocado, Mango, Kiwi, Banana, Apple, Pear, Melon, Grapes, Dates) and even our preferred fruit from Brazil in frozen form, Acai. Don’t think they are vegetarians! They also love chicken, fish, lamb and kangaroo…Today was the first time they were separated from each other for an entire day. Mama had to admit, that missing one baby for any longer time would have been boring, and the place would feel empty and sad. She’s so used to the chaotic situation from 6am to 6pm that it’s less fun when everything seems to be under control. Dad is glad the babies arrived in a twin pack: for him who seems to be a control freak by nature, there’s simply no other way than to give in, cool down and relax with a little can of Oz’ beer in his hand. Fortunately he believes that the girls are already perfectly able to look after each other. We’ll see ;-)
